Who We Are

Shiloh Baptist Church has been a pinnacle of our Center community since 1842, we are located in Aiken, SC off of US Highway 1 – just north of I-20. We are a member of the Southern Baptist Convention, the South Carolina Baptist Convention, and the Aiken Baptist Association. We would love to worship with you on Sunday mornings at 10:15am. We also have Sunday evening service at 6pm, and Sunday School preceeding worship beginning at 9am – with classes for all ages.

Senior Pastor

Dr. Chris Masters

Dr. Chris Masters became the Senior Pastor of Shiloh Baptist Church on August 14, 2016. Dr. Masters is a graduate of Gardner Webb University and Covington Theological Seminary. Dr. Master is a consultant for the South Carolina Baptist Convention as well as the Associate Dean and professor of New Testament at Covington Theological Seminary Aiken Campus. He has served numerous churches in North Carolina and South Carolina as Minister of Music, Minister of Youth, Minister of Senior Adults, Pastoral Counselor and Senior Pastor.

Associate Pastor of Worship

Rev. K Scott Ayers

Rev. K. Scott Ayers began his ministry with Shiloh Baptist Church in September of 2012. Scott is a life long native of South Carolina having been born and reared in the Upstate region. Scott has served in numerous churches throughout the state in various capacities both full time and bi-vocational. He began his first ministry of service through music at Concord United Methodist Church in Greer at the age of 13. Since then he has served as the North Greenville Associational Senior Adult Choir Director, Minister of Music- Blue Ridge Baptist Church, Blue Ridge, SC: Minister of Music and Senior Adults- Living Water Baptist Church, North Myrtle Beach, SC; Director of Children’s Music Ministry- Florence Baptist Temple, Florence, SC; and Minister of Music- Reedy River Baptist Church, Greenville, SC. In addition, Scott has worked one on one with several other churches throughout the state enhancing their choral program. Scott is a National Honor Society graduate of Travelers Rest High School. In addition he received his Associate’s Degree with Summa Cum Laude honors from North Greenville College (now North Greenville University) and his Bachelor’s Degree in psychology and sociology with Summa Cum Laude honors form the Baptist College of Charleston (now Charleston Southern University) Scott has served on the South Carolina Baptist Convention Nominating Committee as well as other positions within the North Greenville Baptist Association and the Waccamaw Baptist Association. Scott has a firm belief and is committed to the Southern Baptist Faith and Doctrine. He believes strongly that worship through all formed is vital to the success of any church and that music provides a fundamental component of any worship service. He believes that the music should bring people into a sense of worship in preparation for the message. He believes there should be a blend of worship styles in order to appeal to a multi-generational congregation. Scott is married to the former Teri Ergle who family has generational ties to Shiloh Baptist Church. He has three daughters, Brittany Corrine Ayers, Anna Rebecca Ayers and Marlie Courtney. His greatest joy has been the addition of his first granddaughter, Kori Lee Courtney in February of 2019
